Volunteers are an integral part of the Royal Geelong Agricultural & Pastoral Society. We have over 230 +volunteers (including councillors ) that work across a variety of areas including animals, stewarding, gates, entertainment & ground maintenance.

Without volunteers generously devoting their time to the Show & Showgrounds, it wouldn’t be the successful event that it is today.

Volunteering provides opportunities to:

  • Make a difference
  • Share skills and experience
  • Learn new skills
  • Teach others
  • Gain valuable work experience
  • Meet people and make new friends
  • Increase your confidence and self-esteem

Recruitment for new volunteers is all year round.

If you’re interested in volunteering we’d love to have you on board. Please complete expression of interest form below.

Wednesday Warriors

A group of volunteers and councillors from the Society’s sectional committees come together each Wednesday to do much needed maintenance within the showgrounds.

The gentlemen from the Wednesday Warriors perform many duties around the property from renovating sheds and buildings to mowing and garden maintenance. The Royal Geelong Agricultural and Pastoral Society would be lost with out the hard working gents from the Wednesday Warriors.

The Royal Geelong Agricultural and Pastoral Society is community organization with over 100 volunteer committee members working throughout the year to make the Royal Geelong Show possible.

We are supported by other community groups who operate our gates and parking
throughout the show on a volunteer basis.

All stalls, show bag stands and rides at the Royal Geelong Show are operated
by private businesses and organizations.

As such we do not have any show-specific employees.

For any show related employment opportunities please contact stall holders
and ride operators directly.
